Brick and block layer • Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. The job is on a busy housing site. On the job you will handle: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Pay around $230 per day, based on your experience.
