Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time with occasional weekends.
