Aluminium tig welder — Gwynedd

Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Gwynedd, Wales. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Pay around £1,750 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
