You will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift.
