Fabricator-welder wanted in Harper County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Harper County, Kansas. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $6,750 per project, based on your experience. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
