Banksman — Greensville County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Greensville County, Virginia. You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
