Restoration bricklayer • Collingsworth County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Collingsworth County, Texas. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. Your main tasks: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Six days a week, one day off.
