Fabricator-welder — Clarke County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Clarke County, Iowa. You will work at an automobile body shop. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test On the job you will handle: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Rotating shifts.
