Sheet metal welder wanted in Shelby County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Shelby County, Iowa. You will work in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
