Immediate opening: argon welder (Iowa)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Wright County, Iowa. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
