Steel fixer • Gaya, Kano State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Gaya, Kano State. Day to day you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. What we are looking for: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates 1+ years on the tools preferred.
