Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG welder in Dorchester County, South Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
