Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The role involves check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
