Trowel-trade bricklayer • Canadian County, Oklahoma

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Canadian County, Oklahoma. On the job you will handle: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Part-time with flexible hours.
