Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Iroquois County, Illinois. The job is in a gas distribution network. The role involves: • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Full-time, day shift.
