Join our team: we are hiring a MIG welder in Fremont County, Idaho. You will be based on a structural steel site. Day-to-day duties: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding Requirements: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
