Steel fixer — Saint Helena Parish

Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixer in Saint Helena Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. You will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Rotating shifts.
