Great opportunity: structural MIG welder (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Surry County, Virginia. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium The role involves check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
