Now hiring: CO2 welder (Louisiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. Day-to-day duties: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $250 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
