Punch press operator — Greater Bridgeport Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a punch press operator in Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work in a metal fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg Day-to-day duties: • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $3,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
