You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles The role involves: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
