Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Kleberg County, Texas. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. On a typical shift you will lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply. Ideal candidate: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
