Day to day you will cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash. Requirements: • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
