On a typical shift you will top up AdBlue and refuel at scheduled stops; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules.
