Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Grant County, Nebraska. You will work in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. You should have: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways Your main tasks: • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
