We are recruiting: we are hiring an estate gardener in New Hanover County, North Carolina. Your main tasks: • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers Requirements: • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
