Now hiring: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work on a road construction project. Day-to-day duties: • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily You should have: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
