Gang bricklayer — Onitsha North

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Onitsha North, Anambra State. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. On the job you will handle: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Rotating shifts.
