Trowel-trade bricklayer — De Soto Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in De Soto Parish, Louisiana. The role involves forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience.
