Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Rosebud County, Montana. Day-to-day duties: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
