Crane operator wanted in Sitka City and Borough

Join our team: we are hiring a crane operator in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will be based in a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Current medical and eyesight certificate At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
