Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Clark County, Arkansas. You will be based on a high-rise building site. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces The role involves: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
