Urgent requirement: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Saint Clair County, Michigan. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Six days a week, one day off. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
