Gang bricklayer — Petersburg Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Petersburg Borough, Alaska. The role involves: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
