Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in De Soto Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day to day you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper.
