Great opportunity: sand plant operator (New Jersey)

Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Hudson County, New Jersey. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day to day you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring.
