Pipe TIG welder wanted in Walker County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Walker County, Alabama. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
