Concrete shuttering carpenter wanted in Orkney Islands

Join our team: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Orkney Islands, Scotland. The job is at an infrastructure construction site. The role involves: • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
