Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift erector in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. On the job you will handle: • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Valid driving licence for site call-outs Full-time with occasional weekends.
