Now hiring: we are hiring a roofing technician in Jackson County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy roofing firm. You should have: • A driving licence is an advantage for site travel • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls You will set out battens to the correct gauge and spacing; nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses; torch on bitumen membrane across flat roofs; replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates; insulate and ventilate the roof void. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $26 per hour, based on your experience.
