Urgent requirement: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Knox County, Missouri. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Day-to-day duties: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
