Now hiring: foundry operative (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Montgomery County, Texas. Day to day you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
