Brick and block layer • Bon Homme County, South Dakota

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Bon Homme County, South Dakota. The job is at a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
