Heavy equipment operator — Appomattox County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Appomattox County, Virginia. You will work on a housing development site. On a typical shift you will strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance. What we are looking for: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
