Gas service engineer wanted in Ulster County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Ulster County, New York. You will work at a boiler and appliance service centre. Ideal candidate: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Day to day you will carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $29 per hour, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends.
