Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety marshal in Holmes County, Mississippi. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Six days a week, one day off.
