Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Fountain County, Indiana. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot You will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
