We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
