Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Richland County, North Dakota. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Your main tasks: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Six days a week, one day off.
