Bar bender and fixer wanted in Pine County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Pine County, Minnesota. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules On the job you will handle: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman We offer $26 per hour plus benefits.
